Acquisition of spare parts

The important role at repair work is played by use of spare parts and expendables only quality, specially intended for concrete model of the car.
As a whole, available spare parts can be subdivided into two big groups:

Spare parts of original production. These spare parts extend through official representations of the company manufacturer of cars, always have original packing and the corresponding marking. Thus quality of a detail is guaranteed by producers of the car. In firm service centers it is possible to get any spare parts which are let out for sold models. If any detail at the moment of visit of the center is absent, it in short terms can be put from the central warehouse.

Stereotyped spare parts. Definition "stereotyped" speaks nothing about quality of a detail. It means only that it is on sale not in firm packing of the manufacturing company of the car and extend not through official representative offices. The main frame of sources of this group is made by the known manufacturing firms of spare parts delivering details to assembly lines sometimes at once of several automobile plants. In a type of high capacity of the production such firms provide also delivery of spare parts for sale in the free market. Such details have packing and marking of the producer of the spare part, at all do not concede on quality to original spare parts at much lower cost (the difference in the price can reach 50 %). However, the range is usually a little more modest in view of that for free sale usually try to let out only the most running details using the greatest demand.
Many wholesale western merchants in spare parts use own packing, buying the big range of stereotyped spare parts in large lots directly from producers and selling them under own trademark.

Stereotyped spare parts, as a rule, extend through independent shops of spare parts, automobile repair shops and service stations.

It is necessary to give special attention to quality of acquired spare parts. Try to avoid purchase of absolutely cheap details (in comparison with original and stereotyped known firms) as often they do not correspond to standards of quality and safety. If installation of a second-grade decorative molding is capable to affect negatively only appearance of the car, use of low-standard brake blocks / the oil filter bears threat of safety of passengers, or can cause a serious damage to the engine. Thus costs of regenerative repair by time many times over exceed saved upon purchase of the cheap spare part the sum. Told means that it is necessary to try to use official representations of the company manufacturer of the car (original parts), or well proved suppliers of stereotyped spare parts.

There is also a possibility of acquisition of the restored details, thus the old, failed detail usually is given in exchange for the restored. This approach is most productive at replacement of such difficult, expensive components, as knots of the power unit, the generator, a starter, etc. The marked service is provided both firm service centers of the manufacturing company of the car, and independent suppliers of spare parts and allows to cut down essentially expenses on car repairs. Thus the firm offering the restored unit, gives on it almost same guarantee, as well as on the new.
