Adjustment and replacement of the sensor switch of position of the lever of the selector of transfers

Check

Considered in the real Management of the car are equipped with safety cushions (SRS). At performance of any works near sensors of blows, a steering column or the dashboard disconnect SRS (see schemes of electric connections at the end of Head Onboard electric equipment).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the console (see. Head Body).

2a. Disunite the 14-contact electric socket of the sensor switch of position of the lever of the selector (see accompanying illustrations): Civic models.

2b. Integra models.

3. Check the sensor switch on compliance of conditions of the sensor switch to conductivity cards (see accompanying illustrations). Transfer the selector lever serially to each of provisions, without touching the press button. Remember that the size of a free wheeling of the lever in each of provisions makes about 2 mm. At negative results of check make sensor switch adjustment (see below).

Adjustment

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Transfer the selector lever to the situation "R" and weaken nuts of fastening of the sensor switch (see an illustration below).
2. Shift the lever towards situation "D" so that there was a conductivity between plugs 2 and 14 (Civic) / And and L (Integra) of the socket of the sensor switch. Conductivity should remain within a free wheeling of the lever (about 2 mm).
3. Make the check described in paragraph 3 (Check) is higher. Make sure that the engine is started in the position "N" of the lever.
4. If requirements of the card of provodimost on former remain outstanding, check a condition of a clamp and an arm of the lever of the selector. If it is not possible to reveal any damages, replace the sensor switch.

Replacement

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the console (see. Head Body).
2. Disunite the 14-kontatkny socket of the sensor switch (see illustrations above).

3. Give two fixing nuts (see an accompanying illustration), remove washers. Remove the sensor switch.

4. Transfer ползун the new sensor switch to neutral situation (situation "N").
5. Transfer the selector lever to the situation "N" and establish the new sensor switch.
6. Put on washers and fix the sensor switch nuts.
7. Make sensor switch check according to the instructions provided in paragraph 3 (Check). Make sure that the engine is started in the position "N" of the lever of the selector.
8. Connect the electric socket of the sensor switch. Fix an electroconducting plait in all provided clamps.
9. Establish into place the console (see. Head Body).
