Positions of the lever of the selector of ranges
On a control panel the indicators allowing easily to supervise position of the selector of ranges of automatic transmission are located.

On some updatings of the car turning on of the D4 indicator for some seconds is provided at ignition inclusion (a key will turn in the lock in situation II). If the D4 indicator blinks during car movement (irrespective of position of the lever of the selector of ranges), it indicates possible malfunction of automatic transmission. In this case it is necessary to avoid sharp dispersals of the car and to address on HUNDRED Honda.

The D4 indicator can sometimes settle down together with the separate index of level of fuel.
Depending on car updating the lever of the selector of ranges can have seven or six fixed provisions. At engine start the lever of the selector should be only in situation P (Parking) or N (Neutral). To switch the lever of the selector of ranges from situation P in situation R, it is required to press a brake pedal and the clamp button at the same time.

Positions of the handle of the selector

R (Parking)
In this position of the lever of the selector the target shaft of transmission is mechanically blocked. Always turn on the selector lever in situation P (Parking) at switching off or engine start. To deduce the selector lever from situation P (Parking), it is necessary to press a brake pedal, previously having released an accelerator pedal. Press the button of a clamp located sideways on the handle of the lever, and switch off the lever from situation P (Parking).

If on the car equipped with the device of an unblocking of the lever of the selector, after all specified above actions still it is not possible to deduce the lever from situation P (Parking), it is necessary to release the selector lever, having used the ignition key, see below.

To turn on the lever of the selector of ranges in situation P (Parking), it is necessary to press the clamp button also. In order to avoid breakage of transmission turn on the lever in situation P (Parking) only after a full stop of the car.

On the car equipped with the device of an unblocking of the lever of the selector. You can take out a key from the ignition lock, only if the lever of the selector is in situation P (Parking).

R (Backing)

Ways of switching of the lever of the selector of ranges between provisions R (Backing) and R (Parking) are described above. Turning on of the lever in situation R from situation N (Neutral) make only after a full stop of the car, thus it is necessary to press the button of a clamp located sideways of the handle of the lever. (Neutral)

Use situation N (Neutral) at start of the decayed engine under way the car and at short stops of the car with working engine. If for any reason it is necessary for you to depart from the car, previously transfer the selector lever to situation P (Parking). Press a brake pedal at switching off of the lever of the selector of ranges from situation N (Neutral).

D4 (Movement)

In this situation the lever of the selector should be constantly at car movement in normal road conditions. In a range D4 (Movement) is provided automatic gear shifting of a forward course depending on speed of the car and degree of pressing an accelerator pedal. On some updatings of the car correction of the moments of switchings on the highest transfers towards higher speeds of movement if the engine is not heated-up to normal temperature is provided. It provides faster warming up of the engine.

D3

If the lever of the selector of ranges is included in the provision D3, automatic transmission functions similar to a case of inclusion of a range of D4. Difference consists that transition to the 4th transfer is excluded. The range of D3 is recommended to be used at trailer towage in the hilly district or for implementation of braking by the engine on descent. Inclusion of a range of D3 is useful also for an exception of superfluous cyclic switchings of automatic transmission between the third and fourth transfers which can be observed, for example, at movement in a dense transport stream with frequent delays in car stops.

For sharp dispersal of the car at transmission work in a range of D4 or D3 press an accelerator pedal against the stop. Thus the transmission will automatically pass to adjacent lowest transfer. If speed of the car is insignificant, the box can be switched at once to two steps down.

To transfer the lever of the selector of ranges to situation 2, press the button of a clamp which is located sideways lever handles. At inclusion of a range 2 automatic transmission will constantly work at the second transfer. At a car stop the transmission does not pass to the first transfer. Continuous inclusion of the second transfer provides good traction dynamics of the car on liftings and possibility of intensive braking with the engine on descents. The range 2 is recommended to be included at a car troganiye on a slippery paving, and also at movement on deep snow. It helps to prevent strong slipping of driving wheels of the car.

At inclusion of ranges of D3 or 2 under way the car inclusion of the lowest transfers to transmissions automatically is late and occurs only after speed of the car will decrease to safe level on which there will be no excess of the most admissible turns of a cranked shaft of the engine.

1 (separate models)

To transfer the lever of the selector of ranges to situation 1 of situation 2, press the button of a clamp which is located sideways lever handles. At inclusion of a range 1 automatic transmission will constantly work at the first transfer. Switching the lever of the selector of ranges between provisions 1, 2, D3 and D4, you can operate automatic transmission similar to a transmission with manual switching (but without necessity of use of a pedal of switching off of coupling).

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Cock the parking brake. 2. Take out a key from the ignition lock. 3. Insert the ignition key into a cut of the lock of the device of an unblocking of the lever. The lock is located near the lever. 4. Press a key down, at the same time pressing the clamp button, and transfer the selector lever from situation P (Parking) to situation N (Neutral). 5. Take out a key from the lock of the device of an unblocking of the lever of the selector. Press a brake pedal and start the engine. If for switching off of the lever of the selector of ranges from situation P (Parking) to you was necessary to use the device for a lever unblocking, the possible reason is malfunction of transmission.
