Removal and installation of a latch of the lock of a cowl and cable of its drive

Considered in the real Management of the car are equipped with safety cushions (SRS). At performance of any works near sensors of blows, a steering column or the dashboard disconnect SRS (see schemes of electric connections at the end of Head Onboard electric equipment).

Latch

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove a folding cover of a decorative front grille, then lead round latch assembly by a marker or a chertilka for the purpose of a guarantee of correctness of its installation at assembly. Turn out from the panel of a support of a radiator fixing bolts and remove a latch (see an illustration).

2. Disconnect from latch assembly a cable of an otpuskaniye of the lock.
3. Installation is made upside-down.

Adjust the provision of a latch so that the cowl was reliably fixed by the lock in a closed position – rubber pillows of support should be flattened slightly.

Driving cable

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a driving cable of an otpuskaniye of the lock of a cowl from latch assembly (see an accompanying illustration).

2. In salon of the car remove the top overlay of a threshold of a driver's door, then give two fixing bolts and disconnect separate from a partition the lever of an otpuskaniye of the lock of a cowl (see an accompanying illustration). Disconnect from the lever a driving cable.

3. Tie up by the end of a cable connected to a latch a piece of a rigid wire, then "walk" on a cable to a back partition of an impellent compartment, on the way liberating it from intermediate clamps.
4. Push through a partition the rubber plug through passage and involve a cable in an impellent compartment of the car. Make sure that assembly of a new cable is equipped with the plug through passage. Untie an old cable from a wire and tie up instead of it replaceable.
5. Involve assembly of a new cable for a wire through a partition in an impellent compartment.
6. Further assembly make as it should be, the return to a dismantle order.

Fingers densely push the plug of a cable through passage into a partition of an impellent compartment – track correctness of landing of the plug in a partition.
