Check of serviceability of a condition and replacement of the sensor of VMT/provision of cranked shaft/position of pistons in cylinders of the engine (TDC/CKP/CYP)

On considered models the sensor of provision of a cranked shaft structurally consists of three parts tracing, respectively, actually the provision of a shaft, position VMT of the engine (TDC sensor) and position of the piston of the cylinder No. 1 (CYP sensor). On the basis of the data arriving from the SKR sensor, ESM/RSM defines the moments of injection of fuel and ignition in each of engine cylinders, in parallel the sensor delivers information on frequency of rotation of the engine on the management module. The correct installation of a corner of an advancing of ignition is determined by signals of the TDC sensor at engine start. The CYP sensor informs the management module on readiness of each of cylinders for fuel injection in it. All three sensors are incorporated in uniform assembly which is established in the ignition distributor. Diagnostics of malfunctions of sensors is made by means of the input reader of data of memory ESM/RSM (see. System of onboard diagnostics (OBD) - a principle of functioning and codes of malfunctions) and resistance measurements between the corresponding plugs of the socket of electroconducting of assembly.

SKRB sensor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of the SKR sensor disunite the electric socket on the distributor of ignition and measure resistance between plugs 2 and 6 in it (see an accompanying illustration). Compare result of measurement to requirements of Specifications.

2. Check plugs 2 and 6 on conductivity existence on weight – conductivity SHOULD not be, otherwise replace distributor assembly (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
3. If to reveal causes of infringement it is not possible, drive away the car on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics.

TDC sensor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of the sensor disunite the electric socket on the distributor of ignition and measure resistance between plugs 3 and 7 in it (see an illustration above). Compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications.
2. Check plugs 3 and 7 on conductivity existence on weight – conductivity SHOULD not be, otherwise replace distributor assembly (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
3. If to reveal causes of infringement it is not possible, drive away the car on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics.

CYP sensor

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. For check of the sensor disunite the electric socket on the distributor of ignition and measure resistance between plugs 4 and 8 in it (see an illustration above). Compare results of measurement to requirements of Specifications.
2. Check plugs 4 and 8 on conductivity existence on weight – conductivity SHOULD not be, otherwise replace distributor assembly (see. Head engine Electric equipment).
3. If to reveal causes of infringement it is not possible, drive away the car on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics.
