Check of serviceability of a condition and replacement of the sensor of fluctuations of a cranked shaft (CKF)
The CKF sensor consists of the rotor of pulsations located on a forward pin of a cranked shaft and induction touch assembly, fixed on the engine near a rotor. ESM/RSM uses information arriving from the CKF sensor for determination of size of change of frequency of rotation (fluctuations of turns) a cranked shaft. If fluctuations fall outside the limits an admissible range, the module of management regards it as a signal about emergence of admissions of ignition.
Check
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Find the socket of electroconducting of the CKF sensor on the engine block from a gas-distributing belt (see an accompanying illustration). Track, that the ignition key was turned in the situation OFF and disunite the socket.
2. Connect an ohmmeter between two external plugs of the socket (not to the central plug). The result of measurement should lie in a range 1.6÷3.2 kiloohm, otherwise replace the sensor. 3. Serially connect an ohmmeter between mass of a body and each of external plugs of the socket. If conductivity takes place, replace the sensor.
Replacement
PERFORMANCE ORDER
1. Uncover heads of cylinders, a pulley of a cranked shaft and a cover of a belt of a drive of GRM (see. Engine repair without extraction from the car - the Civic models). 2. Disunite the socket of electroconducting of the sensor and turn out a fixing bolt. 3. Installation is made upside-down.
