Removal and installation of the fuel pump
|
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action! |
2. Dump pressure in a power supply system (see Sbrasyvaniye pressure in a power supply system).
3. On all models, except Integra the Hatchback of 1998 вып., remove a back seat (see. Head Body). On the Integra models the Hatchback of 1998 вып. remove a spare wheel and a protective cover.

4a. Turn out bolts of fastening of a cover of access to a fuel tank to gasoline pump assembly (see silt.: Civic models). |

5. Disconnect from assembly electroconducting. By means of two wrenches disconnect fuel lines (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
|
6. Give nuts of fastening of the pump (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
|
7. Carefully take assembly from a fuel tank (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
|
8. Remove a protective cover of the main electric socket (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
|
9. Disunite the main electric socket of assembly of the fuel pump (see an accompanying illustration). |
10. Flat-nose pliers compress clips of fastening of a fuel hose – remove the top clip, bottom shift to the hose middle, having completely released the pump union.
11. Disconnect the pump from a basic arm.

12. Remove from the bottom end face of assembly filtering element (see an accompanying illustration). |
13. Installation is made upside-down. Do not forget to replace sealing laying of a landing flange of a cover of access to a fuel tank. |
