Removal and installation of a steering wheel
Removal
|
Considered in the real Management of the car are equipped with safety cushions (SRS). At performance of any works near sensors of blows, a steering column or the dashboard disconnect SRS (see schemes of electric connections at the end of Head Onboard electric equipment). |
|
1. Disconnect from the battery at first a negative wire, then positive.
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action! |
|
2a. Turn a steering wheel on 180 ° so that the cover of access to its internal part appeared above. Uncover. |
|
2b. From its internal party the socket crossing point intended for an immobilization of the module of a safety cushion is fixed. |
|
2c. Take the socket from a clamp on a cover (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
2d. Disunite yellow color the socket of a cable drum of the SRS module and establish to the place of its tip the socket crossing point, having temporarily immobilized thereby the safety cushion module. |
|
3a. Turn out both screws with TORX type heads from the party of assembly of a steering wheel turned to the dashboard (see accompanying illustrations). |
|
3b. These screws on assembly fixed the SRS module. |
|
4. Remove the module from assembly of a steering wheel and clean it in a safe place, having laid an obverse surface up. |
|
Try not to turn the module the face to itself. At all do not put from above on the module any extraneous subjects. |
5. Disunite electric sockets of the button of a horn and (at the corresponding complete set) темпостата.

6. Give a nut of fastening of a steering wheel. Having removed a nut, mark the provision of a nave of a steering wheel concerning a column shaft (see an accompanying illustration). |
7. Having pulled a wheel it is strict parallel to the axis, remove it from a steering shaft. If the wheel does not give in, a little пораскачивайте it.

Do not allow rotation of a shaft of a column at the removed steering wheel as it can lead to damage of a cable drum of the SRS module. |

|
Installation
|
1. Make sure that forward wheels of the car are developed in rectilinear situation.
|
2. Make sure that the arrow with marking of TORAHS of the cable SRS reel specifies strictly up (see an accompanying illustration), – if the column camshaft after removal of a steering wheel did not rotate with this question there should be no problems. If for any reason the shaft nevertheless turned, make centering, operating as follows: a) Turn a cable drum against the stop clockwise; b) Turn a cable drum counter-clockwise approximately on two turns so that the yellow tooth of a gear wheel was combined with a label on a cover (treats only some models), and marking of "TORAHS" appeared above. |
3. Get a steering wheel in regular situation and achieve combination of the landing labels put in the course of dismantle (see paragraph 6, Removal). Make sure that directing pins of a column get to reciprocal openings from a reverse side of a steering wheel. Plant a wheel nave on a pin of a steering shaft, screw a fixing nut and tighten it with demanded effort. 4. Connect sockets of a horn and (at the corresponding complete set) темпостата. 5. Establish into place the SRS module, having fixed it new TORX screws. Track, that screws were tightened with demanded effort. Establish to the place of a cover of access to screws. 6. Take the socket crossing point. 7. Connect together halves of the socket of the cable SRS reel. 8. Latch the socket crossing point in a clamp from a reverse side of a cover of access and establish the last on assembly of a steering wheel. |
