Check of a condition of components of a power supply system (each 24 000 km of run or time in 12 months)

It is worth to remember that gasoline is inflammable liquid in the highest measure – at work with components of a power supply system observe all taken measures of fire safety. Do not smoke and do not come nearer to a venue of works with open fire or unprotected by the lamp shade carrying. Do not make system service in the room equipped with working at natural gas and heating devices equipped with a control torch (such as водогреи and dryers for clothes). Do not forget that gasoline is among the cancerogenic substances promoting development of a cancer, – try not to allow fuel hits on open sites of a body – use protective rubber gloves, at casual unforeseen contact carefully wash out hands warm water with soap. Immediately collect the spilled fuel and do not put the rags impregnated with a fuels and lubricants near sources of open fire. Remember that the power supply system equipped with injection of fuel of models constantly is under pressure. Before starting a detachment of fuel lines, dump residual pressure in system (for more details see. Head of the Power supply system and release). At service of components of a power supply system put on goggles. Constantly hold near at hand the class B fire extinguisher!


 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. At emergence in salon of the car of a smell of gasoline during movement or after long parking on the open sun it is necessary to examine all components of a power supply system attentively immediately.
2. Uncover a jellied mouth of a fuel tank and check it on existence of damages and corrosion traces. On all perimeter of laying should pass a continuous trace of dense pressing it to a tank mouth. In case of detection of defects replace a laying/cover.
3. Check lines of giving and fuel return on existence of cracks, cuts and other damages. Check reliability of a tightening of shtutserny connections of metal lines and collars of fastening of fuel hoses.

All models considered in the real Management are equipped with system of injection of fuel, and therefore, before disuniting fuel lines or to remove any components it is necessary to dump residual pressure in system (see. Head of the Power supply system and release).


4. Whenever possible examine injection injectors on existence of traces of leakages of fuel. In case of need replace the damaged sealing rings (see. Head of the Power supply system and release).
5. As power supply systems much of components – such as a fuel tank and a part of gasoline pipe lines – are located under the car, for performance of check of their condition it is necessary to lift a vehicle, having hung out it on the winch, having tired out on a platform, or having established on props. Take care of reliability of fixing of the car in the lifted situation.

6. Check a fuel tank and its jellied mouth on existence of punctures, cracks and other damages. Special attention give to survey of a place of a joint of a mouth with a tank. Sometimes rubber of a mouth starts to pass fuel owing to weakening of fixing collars, or as a result of material aging (see an accompanying illustration). Here those from possible problems are listed only, diagnostics and which elimination of the reasons lies within qualification of the average amateur mechanic.


At all do not make attempt of independent repair of a fuel tank (except for replacement of its rubber components) – contact containing even in carefully aired tank of residual fuel evaporations with a torch of a gas torch or any other source of an open flame can cause their detonation!


7. Attentively examine all rubber hoses and the metal tubes of fuel lines going from a fuel tank (see an accompanying illustration). Check a condition of a material of tubes/hoses and reliability of fastening of all shtutserny connections. Also check the gasoline pipe lines going to system of injection of fuel. Make necessary repair, replace defective components (see. Head of the Power supply system and release).

8. Components of system of catching of fuel evaporations also can be a source of emergence of a smell of gasoline. The task of system includes branch of fuel evaporations from a fuel tank into a coal adsorber in which they accumulate during car parking, and from where after start of the engine are deduced in the inlet pipeline for the purpose of burning in combustion chambers.

9. The most true symptom of malfunction in system of catching of fuel evaporations is emergence of a strong smell of gasoline in an impellent compartment. Check a condition of the coal adsorber located in a compartment and the hoses brought to it (see an accompanying illustration).
