Repair and car operation

Removal and installation of a radio receiver and loudspeakers

Considered in the real Management of the car are equipped with safety cushions (SRS). At performance of any works near sensors of blows, a steering column or the dashboard disconnect SRS (see. Safety cushions - the general information). Do not make check of the SRS models by means of any type of the diagnostic equipment.

On the Civic models the radio receiver and a cassette player are placed in separate blocks, on the Integra models the stereosystem is presented by a radio tape recorder.

Radio receiver

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect from the battery at first a negative wire, then positive.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!

2. Remove the central console (see. Head Body).

3. Turn out two fixing screws, located under radio receiver assembly (see an accompanying illustration).

4. Take the receiver from the nest in the dashboard and disconnect from it electroconducting and an antenna cable. On the Civic models separate radio receiver and player assemblies (disconnect from the last first a wire). Remove a radio receiver (see an accompanying illustration).

5. For removal of a cassette player on the Civic models turn out fixing bolts (on two from each party of the block).
6. Installation is made upside-down.

Loudspeakers

Forward main loudspeakers

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the panel of decorative furnish of a loudspeaker.

2. Turn out fixing screws, take loudspeaker assembly from the landing nest and disunite the electric socket (see an accompanying illustration).

3. Installation is made upside-down.

Forward high-frequency loudspeakers

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Remove the panel of an internal upholstery of a door.
2. Disunite the electric socket of the high-frequency loudspeaker.
3. On the Civic models remove the panel of furnish of a lateral mirror.
4. Turn out fixing screws and remove the loudspeaker.
5. Installation is made upside-down.

Back loudspeakers

PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. On the Civic models remove the panel of back lateral furnish (Hatchback), or the back shelf (Compartment/sedan).
2. On the Integra models with a body the Hatchback remove a decorative cover of a loudspeaker.
3. On the Integra models with a body the Sedan turn out three screws of fastening of a cover of a loudspeaker in a luggage compartment. Uncover.
4. Turn out fixing screws and remove a loudspeaker.
5. Installation is made upside-down.
