1. For check the switch is necessary for removing from the car (see paragraph 1, Replacement).
2. With the help or the lamp sampler equipped with the individual power supply check conductivity existence between switch plugs in its both provisions (see the table below). In case of need replace the switch.

1. Remove the switch from the dashboard (see below paragraph 1, Replacement).

2. On the Civic models the timer that demands a special method of carrying out check is switched on in a chain of the switch. In case of violation of serviceability of functioning of a heater include ignition (the engine do not start), then connect positive щуп the voltmeter to the No. plug of 1 socket of a plait of electroconducting of the switch, negative щуп connect to the plug No. 4 (see an accompanying illustration). The device should register tension of the battery, otherwise check a condition of electroconducting and a chain safety lock.

3. If tension of the battery takes place, establish between No. No. 1 and 4 plugs a wire crossing point. If now the heater works, replace the switch, in opposite check a condition of the relay of a heater (see. The relay - the general information and check of serviceability of functioning) with the corresponding chain.

4. On the Integra models by means of an ohmmeter or the lamp sampler equipped with the individual power supply check conductivity existence between switch plugs (see an accompanying illustration and the table below). At negative results of check replace the switch.

1. Remove the switch from the car dashboard (see below paragraph 1, Replacement).
2. The management contour therefore check is made by a special method is included in a chain of the switch. During check each contour is tested in an individual order. If serviceability of functioning of system is broken, however malfunctions in contours it is not revealed, therefore, the switch most likely is damaged. check a condition of plugs of the switch. In case of need smooth out the oxidized plugs, deformed straighten. In case of need replace the switch.

3. Connect an ohmmeter between the No. plug 2 sockets of a plait of electroconducting of the switch and mass of the chassis (see an accompanying illustration). Conductivity should take place, otherwise check a chain on break and reliability of fastening of terminal connections.

4. At the included head headlights connect the voltmeter between the plug No. 1 and weight. If tension of the battery is absent, check a condition of components of a chain on a site to the assembly block located under the dashboard and to the combined switch.
5. At the included head headlights establish a wire crossing point between the plug No. 3 and mass of the chassis. Illumination of the dashboard should join on the maximum brightness.
6. If connecting electroconducting as it should be, replace the switch.

Replacement

1. Having accurately hooked a screw-driver, liberate the switch from the car dashboard (see an accompanying illustration). Disunite the electric socket.

2. Installation is made upside-down.
