Control system of speed (темпостат) – general information and check of serviceability of functioning
Tempostat allows to support the chosen speed of movement of the car automatically. The servomotor темпостата is located in an impellent compartment, fixed on a mudguard of the left wing and by a cable is connected to draft of a butterfly valve. The main components of system are the servomotor, the sensor switch of stoplights, management switches, sensors of speed and executive relays. Check of separate functions of system demands use of the special diagnostic equipment and its performance lies outside the limits of qualification of the average amateur mechanic. The description only procedures of the most general checks, allowing to establish the reason of the most typical refusals темпостата below is provided.

1. Find a safety lock темпостата and check its condition (see. Safety locks - the general information).
2. Operation reacting to squeezing of a pedal of a foot brake of the sensor switch of stoplights should lead to shutdown темпостата. Ask the assistant to squeeze out a brake pedal and make sure of serviceability of operation of stoplights.
3. If stoplights do not react to pedal squeezing, find out a cause of failure and repeat check of serviceability of functioning темпостата.

4. Check a condition of the driving cable laid from assembly of the servomotor/amplifier темпостата (see an accompanying illustration) to draft of a butterfly valve. The damaged or worn-out cable replace. |
5. Monitoring of speed of movement of the car is put in a functioning basis темпостата. The sensor of speed is placed in transmission, the description of its check is provided in Head of the Control system by the engine of the real Management.
6. Make trial runs of the car. If to eliminate functioning violation темпостата in a course made corrections it was not possible, drive away the car on car repair shop for more detailed diagnostics of system with use of the special equipment. |
