Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement of the electromotor of a drive of screen wipers Check of a chain of the electromotor
If screen wipers work too slowly, first of all check level of a charge of the battery (see. Head Routine maintenance). At the serviceable battery remove the electromotor of a drive of screen wipers (see below) and try to move brushes manually, checking freedom of their moving. In case of need make the corresponding repair of drafts and grease axial knots. Establish the electromotor into place, include ignition and again start brushes. If speed of work of screen wipers after the brought corrections did not settle into shape, check quality of contact connections of a chain and reliability of fixing of sockets, special attention having given to a grounding condition. At a serviceable chain replace the electromotor. At refusal of activation of screen wipers check a condition of the corresponding safety lock. If a safety lock as it should be, establish a wire crossing point between the plug of grounding of the driving electromotor and mass of the chassis. Repeat check. If now screen wipers start to function normally, restore reliability of contact knots of grounding. If the motor still does not work, transfer the switch of management of brushes to a mode of the maximum speed (HI) and check tension existence on the socket of the conducting connected to the electromotor. At serviceable giving of a food. If tension takes place, check the motor by direct connection to the battery by means of the wire crossing point equipped with a safety lock (see an illustration below).
If now the motor functions, check a condition of driving drafts of screen wipers. If the motor is not started, replace it. If tension is absent, check serviceability of giving of a food on the built-in control unit. In the presence of tension on the built-in control unit and absence it on the motor check serviceability of functioning of the switch (see. Check of serviceability of functioning and replacement of podrulevy switches). If the switch as it should be, most likely failed the built-in control unit. At refusal of an interval operating mode of screen wipers check a chain condition on a site between the switch and the built-in control unit. If conducting as it should be, it is necessary to make diagnostics of the built-in control unit in the conditions of car-care center. If brushes stop in that situation which they occupy at transfer of the switch to the situation OFF, check serviceability of giving of a food on the terminal switch of the electromotor. Tension should take place on the corresponding wire of the socket of the motor at the switch translated in the situation OFF and included (ON) ignition. If the stop of brushes occurs only after ignition switching off, disconnect electroconducting from the switch of management of functioning of screen wipers. If now brushes stop, replace the switch. If brushes continue to function, the limiting switch of the electromotor therefore is damaged, – replace the motor. If brushes at a stop do not leave under the cowl line, check driving draft on existence of extraneous subjects under it. If nothing stirs leaving of brushes in parking situation, check electroconducting on a chain site between the switch and the motor. In the absence of breaks replace the motor.
