Removal, check of a condition and installation of a gas-distributing belt and cogwheels of a drive of GRM Removal
|
1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.
|
If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action! |
2. Prop up back wheels protivootkatny boots and strongly cock the parking brake. 3. Weaken nuts of fastening of forward wheels, then поддомкратьте a front of the car and establish it on props (see. Head Routine maintenance). 4. Remove forward wheels and protection of a case of the engine. 5. Prop up a jack the power unit (for the purpose of distribution of loading lay between a head of a jack and the pallet of a case of the engine wooden whetstone). 6. Remove an arm of the top support of the engine (see. Check of a condition and replacement of support of a suspension bracket of the power unit). 7. Turn out spark plugs and remove driving belts (see. Routine maintenance). 8. To Otboltita the steering pump also shift it aside, without disuniting hydraulic lines (see. Head Suspension bracket and steering). 9. Take щуп measurements of impellent oil. 10. Bring the piston of the first cylinder into the provision VMT of the end of a step of compression (see. Reduction of the piston of the first cylinder in the provision of the top dead point (VMT)).

The cranked shaft should be turned only in the normal direction (counter-clockwise) – default of this requirement will lead to violation of adjustments of a gas-distributing belt. |

11. Remove the top cover of a belt of a drive of GRM (see an accompanying illustration). |
12. Remove from a forward part of the engine an intermediate roller with an arm.
|
13. By means of a chain or tape key block a pulley коленчатоговала from a provorachivaniye, then a face key weaken a bolt of fastening of a pulley (see an accompanying illustration). |
14. Remove a pulley from a pin of a cranked shaft. 15. Remove from a forward part of the engine directing tube measuring щупа. 16. Remove the bottom cover of a gas-distributing belt.

17. If the old belt is in good repair and will be established into place, mark with chalk or white paint the direction of its rotation and situation concerning cogwheels of shaft (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
18. Weaken a bolt of fastening of a natyazhitel of a gas-distributing belt (see an accompanying illustration). Having wrung out a natyazhitel, weaken a belt, then again tighten a bolt. Remove the sensor of fluctuations of a cranked shaft (see in the same place), then throw off a belt from cogwheels. If removal of a belt is made for the purpose of performance of replacement of an epiploon of a cranked shaft, throw off from a pin of the last a cogwheel and internal directing a belt (see. Replacement of a forward epiploon of a cranked shaft). |
19. If there is a need for camshaft removal, or replacement of its epiploon, pass a big screw-driver through an opening in a shaft cogwheel for the purpose of blocking it from a provorachivaniye, then a face key weaken a fixing bolt and remove a wheel. Take from a camshaft pin a segment shponka. |

Check
|
|
1. Manually check freedom of rotation of a roller of a natyazhitel, then pull it here and there, checking on existence люфта in the bearing (see an accompanying illustration). The defective roller is subject to replacement. |
|
2. Attentively examine a gas-distributing belt from both parties, checking it on existence of signs of wear (especially persistent walls of teeths), cracks, cuts, attritions and zamaslivaniye traces (see an accompanying illustration). The defective belt is subject to obligatory replacement. |
|
If only run of the engine is not so small, replacement of a belt is recommended to be made regardless of its condition. At all do not establish on the engine an old belt, for all hundred percent being not sure of serviceability of its condition. |
|
|
Installation
|
1. If removed, establish into place cogwheels of shaft (do not forget about a segment shponka of a wheel of a camshaft and internal directing a belt on a cranked shaft). Tighten a bolt of fastening of a cogwheel of a camshaft with demanded effort (see. Specifications).
|
2. Before installation of a belt make sure that the cogwheel of a camshaft is established by a label in the form of a point, or “UP” letters up. Two adjusting labels should appear in the plane of a surface of a head of cylinders (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
3. Temporarily establish on a place and fix a bolt a pulley of a cranked shaft, then turn a shaft (if it was brought down) so that the adjusting label on its cogwheel it was combined with the response index on the case of the oil pump (see an accompanying illustration). |
|
4. Densely put on a belt a cogwheel of a cranked shaft, then lead it under a roller of a natyazhitel and round cogwheels of the water pump and a camshaft (see an accompanying illustration). |
5. Weaken a bolt of a natyazhitel, having provided a belt tension, then temporarily tighten a bolt. 6. Accurately turn a cranked shaft six times in the direction counter-clockwise, then make sure of correctness of an arrangement of adjusting labels of a cogwheel of a camshaft. If the cranked shaft is turned with breakthroughs, or got jammed, it is not necessary to apply force as it can lead to damage of valves at blow them about the bottoms of pistons (if adjustment is brought down). Remove a belt and repeat procedure, giving particular attention to combination of adjusting labels. 7. For adjustment of effort of a tension of a belt weaken on a half of turn (180 °) a bolt of a natyazhitel and turn a cranked shaft in the direction counter-clockwise on three teeth for situation VMT. Now tighten a bolt with demanded effort. 8. Establish into place all components acting in film in the course of dismantle. 9. Adjust efforts of a tension of driving belts (see. Head Routine maintenance). 10. Start the engine and check serviceability of its functioning. |
