Removal and installation of a final collector

Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!


2. To Poddomkratta a car front also establish it on props. Disconnect electroconducting from a l-probe (two sockets on the D16Y5 and D16Y7 models). Disconnect from a final collector a reception pipe of system of production of the fulfilled gases (see an accompanying illustration). If the fixture of a pipe does not give in to an otdavaniye, previously moisten it with getting structure.

3. Remove from a final collector the thermofilter (see an accompanying illustration). It is also expedient to impregnate fixture with getting structure previously.

4. Give fixing nuts (see an accompanying illustration) and separate a final collector from a head of cylinders.


On the D16Y8 models do not forget to give bolts of the bottom assembly bracket located near a fixing flange of a collector.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Will throw out old laying, then scratch out its fragments from interfaced surfaces of a final collector and a head of cylinders. Wipe surfaces the rags moistened in acetone.
2. Having replaced laying, establish a collector on the regular place and fix it nuts. Moving in the direction from the center outside, tighten fixture with demanded effort (see. Specifications).
3. Further installation is made as it should be, the return to a dismantle order.
4. Start the engine and check it on existence of signs of leakages of the fulfilled gases through joints of a final collector with a head of cylinders and a reception pipe of system of release.
