Removal and installation of the pallet of a case of the engine

 Removal

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Warm up the engine to normal working temperature, then merge from it engine oil and remove the oil filter (see. Head Routine maintenance).
2. Disconnect a negative wire from the battery.

If the stereosystem established on the car is equipped with a security code before disconnecting the battery make sure that have the correct combination for audiosystem input in action!


3. To Poddomkratta the car also establish it on props. Remove protection of a case.

4. Turn out bolts of fastening of the pallet to the engine block (see an accompanying illustration).

5. Обстучав the pallet on perimeter a hammer with soft brisk for the purpose of destruction of a layer of hermetic, separate it from the block (at all do not make attempts to hook the pallet under an interfaced surface).
6. Scratch out from interfaced surfaces of the pallet and the block all traces of hermetic and a material of old laying. Remove from the pallet or the block face sealing inserts. Carefully wipe interfaced surfaces the rags moistened in acetone. Clean and dry carving openings in the block.

Installation

 PERFORMANCE ORDER

1. Wash out the pallet solvent and carefully dry it. Make sure of absence of deformations of an adjusting flange of the pallet, in case of need lay the pallet a flange on the flat wooden block and make a rikhtovka.
2. Impose on a prokladochny surface of a flange of the pallet a RTV hermetic pillow in thickness of 3 mm. Track, that hermetic was imposed from the interior of boltovy openings.
3. Accurately press the pallet to the block. Screw bolts and, moving on a spiral from the center outside, in stages (on 1/4 turns for an approach) tighten them with demanded effort (see. Specifications). Remember that pulling of fixture is fraught with development of leaks.
4. Fill in engine oil (see. Head Routine maintenance), start the engine and check the pallet on existence of leaks.
